Fashion...and relationships

There was once a reality show called 'Glam God'. The premise was to produce a Stylist - extraordinare. One of their challenges involved couples and fashion and how they should look cohesive. There are only a few couples I see that really embrace the 'dressing together' part of their relationship. My question is, can you still maintain your own style and be able to blend it with your partner without diluting your edge?
